Big things for 2021!

The end of 2020 was a bit of a mess, but thankfully we got through it. After several good streaming sessions, unfortunately I hit a wall: Partially being exhausted from my 9-5 job, partially from post-wedding depression, and partially from the pandemic finally getting to me. From the end of August until around mid-November, I'd get done with work (I'm lucky enough to work from home) and then...spin around in my chair debating what to work on. In the end, I just wanted to escape from my office for the rest of the night.
Yes, my leatherworking workshop, 9-5 job office, and gaming computer are all in the same room. It's small, it's a bit cramped, and I spend most of my time in here. I got to the point where looking at different walls in the house was a necessity!
That said, I was able to finish two bags by the end of the year: The blue croc-embossed bag was finished off-stream, and I also created another bag out of a black pebble grain.

The black bag was the first time I designed a bag from scratch, created the pattern using Adobe Illustrator, made an internal zipper pocket, and created a top handle. There were many things I learned in making this bag, but I'm happy with the result and will be making more for the shop.
This year I also plan to pick up streaming again. I have been reconfiguring my space (you can even see the pop filter for my mic in the background of the pictures above) to make it a fun experience. Follow me on Twitch to watch me work!
Finally, I'm not just working out a streaming schedule, but also a blogging schedule. I want to keep you up to date with announcements, things I'm working on, and even fashion news for those who are interested in luxury handbags and trends.
I know Ailinea Leatherworks is still getting started, but I think a good foundation was laid in 2020.
Here's to 2021!
