Fashion News: Spring 2021 Colors

After a long winter, seeing the latest spring colors feels refreshing...even if you still expect a few more months of cold, grey weather. Spring 2021 is not very different from past years, where candy colors, pastels, and florals suddenly burst into fashion again.

As previously discussed, Ultimate Grey and Illuminating (bright yellow) are on the list. Not your favorite colors? Bright, yet monotone ensembles were recently seen at the Presidential Inauguration last week as well. you may simply wish to add some of these colors (or pull them out of your closet) for a quick update.

What does this have to do with leather and handbags?

It may seem frivolous to go hunting for a new bag in a color that is on-trend for one season. Or, if one of the colors is a personal favorite, now could be the perfect time to find one and use it as your statement bag to carry regardless of your wardrobe. There are also some wonderful neutrals that will always be classic: The bottom row has a cream, saddle tan, navy, grey, and olive--all colors that look great as day-to-night bags and accessories, and can often be found in leather beyond your basic black and brown.

Personally, I like to stay informed about the trending color palettes: Perhaps you already have accessories that will coordinate well with the colors you expect to see. Hopefully with Covid vaccines rolling out we will get ahead of the pandemic, and if you know someone who is planning an event such as a wedding for later in the spring or summer--or perhaps you are planning an event that was postponed from last year--it might help to know what colors may be easier to find.

(I know, I know...it's hard to advocate for hosting large gatherings, such as weddings, even now. I use this as an example because my own wedding ceremony was postponed last summer, and my husband and I opted for a small Vegas wedding with only his family as our witnesses. We're planning to attempt another ceremony in the future for friends and family, which is why I'm using this as an example!)
